InkMotion - The Review

On February 9th 2013 I hosted my first Creativity Workshop from the series "A different Creativity Workshop Every Month". Every workshop its intended to have a character and personality of its own. Different materials will be explored. The idea is to give people a moment and a space, once per month, to explore their creative capabilities.

In every workshop attendees will also learn some creativity principles as they work with the materials and they will also have the opportunity to talk about their mental processes, their ideas and their emotions. This is the therapeutic side of these workshops.

This first event was called InkMotion and the idea was to let the ink flow and see what can be done with little intervention. We had to creative rounds.

On the first round I showed the students an interesting technique for creating monsters on a glossy paper. Attendees had fun as they created their creatures and as they share their thoughts.

The second round was about exploring the behavior of ink on watercolor paper. The surface of the paper was previously treated with water. This produces an amazing effect that people can play with and create interesting artistic compositions.

Here are the pictures of InkMotion:

I am already working with the next the next workshop which is going to happen in March. What I can tell you is that it will be halfway between plastic arts and music. It's a new concept that I want people to explore.

That's all for tonight. Enjoy your week!
